The beginning, long overdue
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to On becoming a robot. Finally, after a month and a half of cyber withdrawal we have gotten the internet hooked up. Where to begin... I have decided not to post the giant entry, anyone who wants it, I would be happy to email it to you. It is three pages single spaced and about a month out of date. So where to begin... Man, it has been a busy month. Japan is a wild country. You always have to take your shoes off in houses, and sometimes at work. Speaking of work, I had to work yesterday in a Typhoon. The word Typhoon used to be synonymous with pleasant breezes in Ray's basement. Now I associate it with hellish working conditions, I was soaked by the time I got to work yesterday. Soaked and angry. I had kids training and the way that works is they just have you play the games they play in kids training. Not exactly what I feel like doing when I am soaking wet in slacks, a shirt, and tie. Not to mention that there were 12 of us, in a small room with the door closed and the a/c broken. It was fun. Overall, though, it is a super easy job, I just talk to people all day. Thats about it really. I mean there is more but I can't think of it right now. Thats pretty sad really. A whole month in a different country and the best that I can come up with is a short story about working in a typhoon.

And yet, to us, this comes as gold, as Fire from Olympus.
